Supported Projects

The Gwalia Housing Trust helps individuals and community groups with needs associated with housing as well as the elderly and those with a wide variety of disabilities. Some of the projects which the trust supports are as follows, please see the menu on the left for further information about each project.

In conjunction with the University of Glamorgan's School of Care Sciences, the Trust has developed a Dementia care project called 'Habren' aimed at providing high quality accommodation and specialist support for people with Dementia.

The Trust has also put some of the funds raised from the annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament towards the development of a home ownership scheme which Grŵp Gwalia Cyf is working in conjunction with West Glamorgan Doorways (now a part of Grŵp Gwalia) to Achieve. The home ownership scheme will benefit people with learning difficulties and help them to gain independence in their lives.
